Visit statistics
We count page views with a self-hosted statistics tool that sets no cookies and builds no profile of you. It records the page, the referring address, the type of device and browser, and a country worked out from the IP address. The IP address itself is not kept in the statistics, and the figures are only ever looked at in totals.
Server logs
The web server keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, to stop abuse and keep the site running. They are deleted automatically after a limited period. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR.
Email to the editors
If you write to [email protected], we keep the message and your address only for as long as it takes to deal with it, and no longer than 12 months.
Cookies and outbound links
This site sets no cookies of its own. Buttons leading to a recommended casino take you to another website, whose own privacy policy and cookies apply from that moment. The same goes for links to Rolletto, its blog and support organisations such as BeGambleAware and GamCare.
Sharing and processors
We do not sell or rent data and do not pass it on for marketing. The hosting provider processes server logs on our behalf and only to run the site.
Security
Pages are served over HTTPS. We will never ask you for a password, card details or identity documents, by email or any other way. A message that does so in our name is not from us.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask for access to data about you, its correction or erasure, a restriction of processing, or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Send requests to [email protected]. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes
When the site or the law changes, this page changes with it, and the date below is updated.
